I decided to give DuckDuckGo a try (again) after my friend said he switched over. 

Two days later we both have switched back to Google.

Why?

My two big gripes are 1) the load times are noticeable and sometimes even slow and 2) the search results aren’t the greatest when it comes to certain things. The point I noticed it was searching the Rails API. 

In Google, I can search “rails form_ta”, and it points me directly to the Rails form_tag helper docs. 

In DuckDuckGo, if I search “rails form_ta” the Rails docs don’t even show up. Even if I try to search the Rails docs directly with “!rails form_ta”, absolutely no results are found. If I try “!rails form ta”, the correct result is 3rd down, whereas on Google it’s 2nd. If I try “rails form ta”, the correct result doesn’t show up. 

I don’t mean to shit on DuckDuckGo, but it just doesn’t work as well as Google. Even though Google is going through some privacy issues and what not right now, I’m sticking with Google.
